As part of the Railway 200 Celebrations and Heritage Open Days the East Anglia Transport museum at Carlton Colville near Lowestoft, Suffolk is opening its doors to the public FREE of charge for one day only on Saturday 13th September 2025 between 12 midday and 4pm. The only FREE opening day of the year. A FREE heritage bus service will connect with rail services at Lowestoft station between 11am & 5pm.
A working transport museum, staffed entirely by volunteers offering tram, trolleybus and narrow gauge railway rides as well as exhibits and artifacts. Also has a cafe, shop and most recently has become home to the former Oulton Broad North Signal Box.
