A fun railway themed doodling session celebrating 200 years of Railways.
We’re creating a community doodle drawing of a goods train at the historic Wingfield Station. The Doodle train features an illustration of a Stephenson K Type Locomotive as seen on the the early days of the North Midland Railway. Participants are invited to doodle cargo onto pre-drawn wagons from the 1840’s
Our event looks at the historically accurate goods that the railway may have carried as well as inviting participants to use their imagination
What cargo could the Wingfield Train Carry? Wood? Stone? Cakes? Alien Spaceships or Dinosaurs?
Trains connect people, places and industry. Historically they have been fundamental in the creation of modern industrial Britain. However on a personal level they are vehicles used to connect our lives through work and leisure.
In the “Doodle Train” we use our Train as a vehicle to connect ideas, imagination and creativity.
