The Avocet Line Rail Users Group represents passengers on the Exmouth to Exeter railway. Join us at the Manor Hotel, Exmouth on Monday 14 April at 7.30pm to celebrate 200 years of local railway history.
In January 1825 two rival companies were formed to promote railways on either side of the Exe estuary. They failed when the Exeter canal was improved and the railway we know now finally opened in 1861. You can find out more at https://avocetline.co.uk/history-v2/.
Entry is free to members. Non members can join the group on the night – annually £5 individual, £8 for two at the same address.
