Enjoy the sights and sounds of a weekend of heritage diesel traction over our steeply graded line
The Diesel Gala will see the railway operated by visiting diesel engines and our home-fleet of diesel locomotives.
It will be a three day event, taking place from Friday 11 July through to Sunday 13 July, and will see an intensive train service operating over the steeply graded route, providing the opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of both heritage and modern diesel traction.
This year’s Diesel Gala is a Laira Reunion, gathering some of the team from the Plymouth Laira back together! They were responsible for saving many of the locomotives on the line this weekend.
