Days of Steam at Exbury Gardens

heritagefamily

In celebration of all things steam and all things railway, Exbury joins the nation in celebrating Rail 200 – commemorating 200 years of rail travel.

On June 14th and 15th, you’ll discover a fascinating array of model railways on display, across a variety of scales, gauges and eras, courtesy of New Forest Railway Society members; working steam and traction engines trundling through the gardens; and of course, Exbury’s very own narrow gauge steam railway in operation throughout the weekend.

Enthusiasts will be on hand to give hints and tips on how to build model railways at home, with layouts from 30ft long to those you can keep on a windowsill.

This event is free with gardens admission. Steam Railway tickets may be purchased for £7 per person. Dads can enjoy half-price gardens admission on Father’s Day, Sunday 15th June.
