To celebrate Railway 200 The Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership is holding the Mid Cheshire Line station to station walking event between 22nd and 27th September. Participants will walk between each station along the Mid Cheshire Line from Manchester Piccadilly to Chester on routes which closely follow the railway line. At the end of each days event a knitted baton made by Toppers of Northwich will be passed on to the next days walk leader.
We would welcome people from communities along the Mid Cheshire Line to come and join us on our rambles which will vary in length from an easy hour long stroll to the last leg which will take most of the day.
The Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership works in partnership with Northern Trains Ltd. to promote train travel, support station volunteer groups to care for and enhance the stations and to bring economic and social benefit to communities and businesses along the Mid Cheshire Line.
