Better Transport Week 2025, covering the length and breadth of England and Wales from the North-East to the South-West, begins in West Yorkshire, celebrating the transport that connects communities.
Joined by industry and community partners from across public transport, shared mobility and active travel, we celebrate station redevelopments at Huddersfield, vital work on the Transpennine Route Upgrade, and the inspiring work of community rail and local transport
Arriving in Huddersfield, we join the Community Rail Network, an inspiring choir, Cycle Kirklees and EPIKS at Huddersfield Station for a celebration. We will be welcomed by the Penistone Line Partnership, one of the Department for Transport’s original pilot Community Rail Strategy projects. The morning concludes with speeches and photos, followed by a networking reception.
