This spring, London Transport Museum are celebrating 200 years of train travel and 25 years of Transport for London (TfL). Join us at London Transport Museum’s Depot in Acton, West London for Depot Open Days: A Transport Celebration. This three-day extravaganza invites you inside the Museum Depot to explore a treasure trove of over 320,000 rare and original objects, part of our rich and exciting collection.
From the world’s first underground railway to engineering feats, design masterpieces and the hotly anticipated walk-through Piccadilly Line trains, London’s transport network has a remarkable history. With a focus on the importance of rail and the Underground, our Depot Open Days: A Transport Celebration will uncover how the Museum’s collection showcases this evolution.
Our festival-style Depot Open Days are an exciting opportunity to celebrate, learn from and enjoy one of the most comprehensive urban transport collections in the world. Featuring beautifully restored historic vehicles, behind-the-scenes tours, talks, panel discussions, special displays, stalls, demonstrations and hands-on activities, there is something for everyone!
