Perfectly timed for the 200 year anniversary of the railway, an example of how the rail industry has moved into the 21st century, working with their local communities by unlocking redundant space.
One half of Crowborough station has stood empty and un-used for many years, this event marks an exciting new chapter in the station’s history. The building has now been made available to the local community to put to good use as a much needed Community Hub. The space will be shared by many local clubs, voluntary groups and organisations.
We welcome local residents and others with an interest to come along to see the space and make suggestions for its future use.
The ticket hall is also taking part in the event with the installation of a new exciting display on the history of the local area. There is also a big surprise planned, paying homage to possibly Crowborough’s most famous resident.
