The Malden and District Society of Model Engineers has been promoting model engineering and miniature railways since 1936. In 2025, our 89th year, and the 200th year of the railways, join us for an action packed day of miniature steam, model railways and all things rail (albeit small) at our Annual Gala Event with visiting locomotives. An intensive service of trains will run, and we will be opening a brand new station and section of railway.
During the event, we hope to have ‘200 wheels in steam’ across both our railways, celebrating this major milestone in railway history.
