If you want to know more about industrial steam history, you can also explore the historic Kempton Steam Museum next door to the railway, housing the world’s largest triple-expansion steam pumping engine ‘The Sir William Prescott Engine,’ This marvel stands 62 feet tall and weighs 800 tons and once pumped 19 million gallons of water daily to supply North London.
