Explore how railway signalling and safety has improved over the 200 years since the first trains. See what life was like as a railway signalman in a signal box that has been restored to how it looked in the 1950s. Most of the equipment has been restored to working condition so you can have a go pulling levers or operating the instruments.

We are usually open one weekend a month, and occasional Tuesday evenings. These give a very different experience as it gets dark.
