Railex is a model railway exhibition held in Wellington, New Zealand every year in November. It is the largest model railway show in the country and has been going for over 25 years. This year the theme will be Railway 200, to celebrate and inform about the history of railways. There will be a special area dedicated to Britain’s railways, including a cavalcade in model form celebrating the history of railways in the UK from inception to the present day, and there will be models of Victorian era trains on display. In addition there will be models and layouts depicting railways from different parts of the world, as well as trade stands and representatives from local railway heritage and preservation groups. The exhibition, on 15 and 16 November, is a great day out for railfans, model enthusiasts and families alike.
