The GWSR will mark this historic anniversary with a special weekend of education, exhibits, and storytelling. The main hub of activity will be at Toddington Station, where visitors can explore our exhibition centre and discover how our volunteers have kept this Cotswold railway running since its preservation from British Railways in 1981.
A programme of talks and presentations from our GWSR volunteers will run throughout the weekend in the Tim Mitchell Building on Platform 1 at Winchcombe Station.
Over at Gotherington Station, visitors can step off the train and straight back into the Victorian era, as the private station’s owners present a superb period display.
On the line itself, we’ll be running an intensive timetable of steam and heritage diesel services, offering the perfect opportunity to travel the route and experience the atmosphere of this landmark celebration.
