Many amateurs enjoy photographing railways, and this includes some keen members of Sevenoaks Camera Club. Our main Annual Exhibition is for pictures of any subject, but because of the long-standing link between photography and railways we decided to devote a small section to rail-related pictures that we’ve taken over the years.
It will not be a huge display, perhaps just around twenty photos, but we want to share with our local visitors the great picture opportunities that exist.
We have not yet gathered all the exhibits, but we know that one member has printed a triptych of photos of the 1978 memorial train that ran over the Settle to Carlisle route to commemorate the life of the fine railway photographer the Right Reverend Eric Treacy, the “Railway Bishop”.
