Severn Valley Railway: Kids for a Quid

heritagefamilyspecial

Have an A-May-zing time this half-term! Family adventures are more affordable than ever with our ‘Kids for a Quid’ offer from 24 May to 1 June.

For just £1 per child, families can enjoy an unforgettable heritage rail journey through the stunning Severn Valley countryside. With every adult Freedom of the Line ticket purchased, up to four children (aged 4–17) can travel for only £1 each, offering amazing value for a full day of heritage railway excitement.

Whether it’s spotting wildlife, exploring the authentic period stations along the route, or enjoying the charm of steam and heritage diesel locomotives, there’s something to delight passengers of all ages. With attractions at every stop, including The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley and riverside walks in Bewdley, the Severn Valley Railway is the perfect destination for a half-term day out.

At Highley, passengers can visit The Engine House Visitor Centre, just a few minutes walk from the station, which boasts interactive games for children. Children can show off their sorting skills in the Travelling Post Office, peek into King George VI’s royal carriage and let off steam outside in the large play area. TrainTime UK will also be at the Engine House with their giant train set (26-30 May), where younger children can have an unforgettable, fun experience, surrounded by real life locomotives and carriages!

There’ll be steam and diesel trains every day, and you can use the timetable to plan your day.
