Station to Station: An Immersive Railway Journey Through Film, Sound & Live Performance

heritage

Join us for Station to Station, a truly unique evening blending film, music, poetry, and live performances in the magical, nostalgic surroundings of the Toy Museum.

This multimedia journey is the brainchild of Ana Lucia Gonzalez, award-winning documentary filmmaker and photojournalist (BBC, Channel 4, Amnesty International) and Tim Saul, musician and composer.

Together, they invite you aboard a dreamlike railway experience, a meditation on motion, memory, and landscape, captured through the train window and brought to life with stirring original music and immersive visuals.

Event Highlights:

  • Film Screening: A series of intimate short films by Ana Lucia Gonzalez, paired with an original score and immersive sound design by Tim Saul.
  • Live GoPro Train Feed: Watch live footage from our 0-gauge train layout, accompanied by a live improvised soundtrack.
  • Chris Littledale’s Sound Cabaret: A rare chance to see his iconic “sound cabaret” live, complete with whimsical effects that have captivated audiences for decades.
  • Signature Cocktail: Enjoy a complimentary ‘Sussex Stoker’ a rich, smoky cocktail made with DedBest Distillery Vodka, triple-filtered through Sussex oak charcoal.
  • Post-Show Q&A: Stay for an informal chat with the creators and hear more about the making of this evocative project.

This is also a fundraiser supporting the Toy Museum’s mission to preserve railway heritage for future generations. Your attendance helps keep the story on track.
