Station Tour of London Bridge

heritagecareersfamily

To commemorate 200 years of the modern railway we are launching a programme of tours with popular tour guide and author Rachel Kolsky. At three iconic London termini – Waterloo, Victoria and London Bridge – we will celebrate rail’s remarkable past, its role today and its importance to a sustainable future they will focus on four key themes: Culture, Heritage & Tourism, Railway People, Education & Skills and Innovation, Technology & Environment.
Underneath the Arches: London Bridge
Built as part of London’s first railway line, London Bridge has recently undergone a dramatic transformation from an unloved terminus in a grimy neighbourhood to a bright spacious station leading to the City, the Thames and trendy Borough and Bermondsey. Explore the old and the new ranging from stunning Victorian brickwork alongside breathtaking contemporary engineering now providing a unifying concourse for the first time in the station’s history.
