🎶 Rail 200: The Singing Train 🚆A Celebration of 200 Years of Passenger Rail Travel in the UK
Join us for a truly unforgettable journey as we celebrate Rail 200—the bicentenary of passenger rail travel in the UK—with a magical musical experience like no other!
In a joyful collaboration between EKC Sheppey Secondary (EKCSS) and the Kent Community Rail Partnership, the talented EKCSS Choir will transform a regular train ride into a moving concert hall.
🌟 What to Expect:
A 20-minute live performance aboard a Southeastern train
A designated carriage just for this special musical journey
A free return ticket back to Sheerness after the performance
A celebration of community, creativity, and 200 years of rail!
As proud adopters of all five stations along the Swale Rail Line, EKCSS students will serenade passengers with uplifting melodies, filling the concert carriage with harmonies and heart from Sheerness to Sittingbourne.
📍 Meet us at Sheerness Station at 10:30 AM on Thursday, 3rd July
This is more than just a train ride—it’s a celebration of heritage, youth talent, and community spirit. Whether you’re a music lover, a rail enthusiast, or a proud member of the local community, this event promises to leave you smiling and singing all the way home.
