Wareham Station 178 Anniversary Celebration

heritageschool

We are going to be hosting a Railway 200 event on Saturday 14th June 2025 at Wareham Station to celebrate the 178th Anniversary of Wareham Station. We will showcase this historic station to the community and passengers using the railway. We will demonstrate the contribution the station and railway have made since its existence from 1847. We will convey plans and aspirations for the continued development of Wareham Station as a rural hub and gateway to the Isle of Purbeck. This is also a good opportunity for the Friends of Wareham Station to explain what they do and why they do it, with an opportunity to recruit more volunteers. A programme of events will be available for the day and this is a public event with invited stakeholders and members of the local community. The event will consist of :
