Aimed at model railway enthusiasts, this is one of the bigger shows in the calendar year attracting over 1500 visitors over the two days. Members of the club also include volunteers at nearby heritage railway attractions as well as previous train drivers and railway staff. Our interests extend well beyond the ‘model railway’ and we are keen to embrace our railway heritage.
Staff will talk through much of the displays based on examples of real world rail network through the age of steam, diesel and beyond.
They will also give first hand experience of the heritage railways they work with and offer information about many of the attractions available, be it special train event or rail museums.
