Take a ride on the miniature railway experience now operating in the Glenfield railway tunnel, the longest steam passenger railway when opened in 1832 and which ceased passenger services in 1928.
The miniature 7.5” railway has been constructed specially to commemorate Rail200 this year and which predates the tunnel by only 7 years and was designed by Robert Stephenson.
A variety of attractions will be available including model steam engines and railway memorabilia. Including books for sale by the Leicestershire industrial history society who operate tunnel tours every summer.
