Saturday 28th JUNE 2025 Fair starts at 12 Noon until 5.30
Wylam Summer Fair is the main fundraiser for the Jubilee Field, a safe space for many varied activities including football, cricket, children’s play area etc. It is run by the community for the community and is a registered charity.
As well as the more traditional activities of a village Summer fair, this year, to celebrate Railway 200, there is a Rail Treasure Trail at the fair which gives information about the early history of the Railway and the significant role that Wylam played, being the birthpace of George Stephenson. There are prizes which have been donated by LNER and Northern Rail.
At 3.30 there is also a performance of The Railway 200 Song Cycle.
Entry to the Fair is: £5 for adults 16+,£1 for children (2-5) and under 2 years free
