In rail’s bicentenary, connect to the world outside your window with the Window Seater audio storytelling app

Available for free on the Apple and Google Play stores, the Window Seater app delivers an immersive in-train experience, with place-based stories that cover a range of subjects from history and geography to art, culture and community – including many connected to this year’s 200th anniversary of the modern railway.

Window Seater’s informative, lively and simple-to-use guides draw on local voices along the railway line, featuring historians, geologists, tour guides, railway enthusiasts and many others.

Window Seater offers:

  • Offline functionality – you don’t need to have access to a mobile network to listen
  • Embedded points of interest and further reading related to audio stories
