Barton House Railway is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers and operates on the third Sunday of the month from April to October from 13:00 until 16:30. We plan to hold a special event during our September 21st. running and our evening running on the 27th. from 19:00 until 22:30. Up to three locos will sound whistles / horns simultaneously at a set time to mark 200 years of rail travel. Other static items of interest according to availability will be on display including in our museum of railway memorabilia. The Rail 200 logo has been incorporated in our running posters and monthly staff newsletter.
