Evento Railway 200 Poetry Train della Hereward Community Rail Partnership

patrimonio

To celebrate Railway200 and the unique landscapes and wonderful artists in the Fenland area, we invite you to join us on our celebratory Railway 200 “Cathedral-to-Cathedral” Poetry Train.
We depart from Peterborough at 17:50, and call at Whittlesea (17:58), March (18:09) & Manea stations (18:17), arriving into Ely at 18:29.

*** We suggest travelling to Peterborough to join the train from the start of the event – this will need to be organised by you separately from the Poetry Train ticket (if you decide to join the train elsewhere, then please email to advise us).

Poetry will be read on board and in Ely from local Poets (some original and some specially written pieces).

On arrival in Ely, we will be met by a Visit Ely tour guide, and will enjoy a talk hearing about the strong connection the city has with the railway and its river.

We will then move into The Maltings for a light buffet and refreshments (please email us with any dietary requirements – HerewardCRP@fenland.gov.uk). Other drinks may be purchased from the bar during the event.

We will enjoy more poetry readings throughout the evening before departing from Ely station at 21:00 and journeying back to Manea (21:11), March (21:20), Whittlesea (21:31) before arriving back into Peterborough at 21:40. You are free to leave the train at whichever station you like on the return.

£5.00 per adult – tickets to be collection at the station ticket machines
