The Railways 200 Years Celebration will be held on 27 September 2025 in Lieksa, Finland. The event is organized by the Rukajärven suunnan historiayhdistys ry (Rukajärvi Front Historical Society) in cooperation with steam train entrepreneur Tapani Laaksomies. The war history society owns the Lieksa railway station, which houses the association’s war history museum.
The celebration will include a ride on a steam locomotive, the only wood-fired steam train still operating in Europe. This train was already in service in Finland during World War II.
