The Dartmouth Railway 200 event celebrates the history of the railways in the UK beginning with the Newcomen steam engine housed in the Dartmouth Tourist Information Centre. This engine was the forerunner of the industrial revolution and the railway in the UK. The event will include exhibits and layouts covering the 200 years of the railways, raising awareness and interest. There will be children’s activities.
