We are holding a series of “fireside chats” featuring a diverse range of railway related topics in the former station buildings at Haltwhistle. As the community rail partnership we love to talk everything rail and engage with our communities.
The Tyne Valley Railway area has so many strong connections to railway innovators of the 19th century including Stephenson, Edmondson and others.
Events will all have a railway theme and include talks, films. music. Some will be about railways of days gone by whilst others about rail today.
Attendees will have a meal in the 1861 Water Tower, recently refurbished as a café, and then move to the Old Booking Hall for the remainder of the event. Whilst in the Old Booking Hall, attendees will be able to see the original features including Edmondson ticket racks.
Information about events and how to book will be available tvcrp.org.uk or on social media @tvcrp
