The Leamington & Warwick Model Railway Society open weekend on the Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July marks the 200th anniversary of the modern railway. Open between 11am and 4pm on boths days, the event provides an opportunity to view our upgraded clubrooms that were opened in September 2024 by Pete Waterman. Our familiar exhibition layouts will be operating and there will be displays of new projects under construction in TT120, 7mm narrow gauge, 009 narrow gauge, N gauge and a cement works extension to Duxbury (00) layout.
Our 90 metre outdoor G1 45mm track will also be operating live steam locos and battery electric radio controlled models in various scales which may include appearances by Thomas and other friends from Sodor.
Following the increase of available space, the club welcomes membership applications from new or experienced modellers particularly to join the teams building new models.
The clubrooms are fully accessible and refreshments will be available on both days.
