Pendon Museum houses four miniature landscapes set in the 1920s and 1930s. To fit in with this period, we decided to celebrate Railway 200 with a small exhibition of content looking back at how the centenary was celebrated 100 years ago in 1925, with focus on the Great Western Railway (GWR). This exhibition will launch on September 27th, the anniversary of the world’s first passenger train journey along the Stockton and Darlington Railway in 1825.
