Step back in time as the Llangollen and Corwen Railway recreates the atmosphere of the 1960s across the whole line. Throughout the weekend there will be reenactments, live music, vintage vehicles, goods demonstrations, exhibitions and period displays, bringing to life the era of Beeching, British Rail modernisation and the fight to save rural railways. Activities will take place at Llangollen, Berwyn, Glyndyfrdwy, Carrog and Corwen, as well as on trains, with volunteers and passengers in period dress, themed announcements and interactive performances adding to the experience.
On Saturday evening, the celebrations continue with a 1960s Dance Night, featuring live music, a disc jockey, hot food and evening train services to and from the event. Discounted entry will be available for Day Rover ticket holders.
