Look Draw Build@Reading Station is een project dat sinds 2022 zo'n 450 kinderen, voornamelijk uit groep 5, van 10 basisscholen in Reading (15-18 klassen per jaar) heeft betrokken bij de lessen techniek, architectuur en de geschiedenis en toekomst van de spoorwegen. Het wordt uitgevoerd door Archi-Adventure van Barcelona en de Reading Civic Society.
In 2025 werd het project Kijk Teken Bouw @ Stations Reading & Bristol as it will also be delivered to Bristol schools for the first time.
Het leesgedeelte van het project werd ondernomen in februari en maart, worden op deze site als aparte evenementen weergegeven.
During April and May it will be delivered to 9 Bristol Primary schools, 14 classes of year 5 children. The participating schools, from across Bristol, are; Badocks Wood E-ACT Academy, Christ Church CE Primary, Sea Mills Primary, Compass Point Primary, Cotham Gardens Primary, St Peter and Paul RC Primary, Our Lady of the Rosary RC Primary. Stoke Bishop CE Primary and Two Mile Hill Primary.
Het project start na Pasen. We vragen de docenten dan om aan de deelnemende klassen een speciaal gemaakte video te laten zien over de geschiedenis van de spoorwegen en de belangrijkste kenmerken van een station.
Between 24 April and 2nd May the classes will be taken around Bristol Temple Meads Station by GWR Senior Accessibility Mentor. He will explain the history of the station, the important features of a station and the key message of safety on the railway. Where required we fund the transport of the children to the station and back.
