A Railway 200 themed gala featuring three different train rides and a demonstration of our Track Inspection Car. The Llanelli and Mynydd Mawr Railway can trace its history back to the Llanelli Tramroad which opened in 1806, a full 219 years ago! There will be a talk and walk during the gala highlighting the history of the site and comparing and contrasting our 219 year history with 200 years of train travel.
Admission on the day will include unlimited train rides. Subject to availability you will be able to enjoy a ride on our Pacer Railcar, Sentinel shunter and brake van and ex. MOD railcar ‘Diana’.
We have an extensive site at Cynheidre with plenty of car parking space, woodland walks, a pond and picnic area. There is a cafe offering light refreshments and a gift shop. Fun for all the family!
