Meet at 10:00 for the 10:08 train to Chirk, Platform 2 Wellington Railway Station.
This event is part of Rail 200 because of the chance to see closely the Chirk Railway Viaduct. This was designed by Henry Robertson and built between 1846 and 1848. It is a significant historical structure on the Shrewsbury and Chester Railway. It runs parallel to the Chirk Aqueduct from which we will get a good view. Earlier, there is also a distant view of the Newbridge (or Cefn) Viaduct
