Railway200 Exhibition in the Hungarian Railway Museum

Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of the railway, the Hungarian Museum of Science Technology and Transport is planning to organize a large-scale exhibition in cooperation with the Hungarian Railway Museum.

Visitors will be able to follow the technical development of the railway and its wide-ranging social and economic impact starting from Darlington in 1825 to Tokyo in 2025, moving through time and space simultaneously . The 175 sqm exhibition space located in the Hungarian Railway Museum will welcome visitors with 13 stations from 10 countries, each from a different era.

The imaginary railway journeys across eras and countries crossing Europe and Asia along existing routes that can be visualised on maps, linking nations, cultures and historical periods.

The exhibition opens on July 14th, and visitors are welcome until the end of the season.
