Trains Brains of Britain Quiz

Bringing together the brightest minds in the railway industry and supporting Railway 200's charity partnership

Rail Live is set to host the “Railway 200 Trains Brains of Britain Quiz,” a landmark event for railway professionals and enthusiasts alike.

This unique quiz will bring together the brightest minds in the railway industry, offering a platform for knowledge exchange and networking.

Railway 200 Charity Partners

The event not only celebrates the rich heritage and future of rail transport but also supports Railway 200’s charity partners Alzheimer’s Research UK, The Railway Children, Railway Benefit Fund, Rail Mission, and Transport Benevolent Fund highlighting the industry’s commitment to social responsibility.

By uniting railway professionals and enthusiasts, the quiz fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of the railway’s impact on past, present and future society, and its technological advancements.

This quiz is a fantastic opportunity for the railway community to come together, test their knowledge, and contribute to a great cause.

In addition to the kudos of being crowned a Trains Brain of Britain, prizes will include a range of Railway 200-themed merchandise.

The Trains Brains of Britain Quiz will take place in two stages:

1st Round: 18th June, time-limited

This will comprise a 100 question, train themed quiz, that will be sent to contestants by email between 12:00-13:00 on 18 June 2025. Teams will have a 2-hour window to complete and return their answers online via Microsoft Forms.

Teams will be notified via email by 18:00 on 18th June if they have qualified for the second round.

2nd Round: 19th June, in person at RailLive

This will take place live in person at the RailLive conference at Porterbrook’s Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre; Business Lounge/Café (opposite stall P70), as below, with each rounding consisting of 20 minutes:

  • Semi-final 1: 13:00
  • Semi-final 2: 14:00
  • Final: 15:00

All team members must be able to participate in person for this round.
