Come to Whitehead Railway Museum on Saturday August 16 and enjoy our Railway 200 steam train rides. The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland train runs up and down the museum siding and gives visitors a chance to savour the steam era. Hear the beat of the engine, inhale that unmistakable steam train aroma and catch a glimpse of the footplate with its roaring fire.

The locomotive is No. 3BG Guinness which was built in 1919 and worked at the famous Dublin brewery until 1965 when it was preserved by the RPSI.

Train rides operate from 11am to 3pm and tickets cost £10 for adults £7 for children and your ticket entitles you to admission to the award—winning Whitehead Railway Museum. You can get to see the giants of steam close up and stroll through historic carriages which once carried Royalty and Presidents.

And don’t forget to visit Cups and Carriages, our railway themed cafe where you can buy lunch or enjoy a snack.

You can book online using the steamtrainsireland.com website or simply turn up and buy your tickets.
