El 27 de Septiembre volveremos a Canfranc en un viaje con un enorme sabor ferroviario donde una locomotora diésel de la serie 333 de ALSA, se empleará a fondo, sobre todo en el tramo entre Jaca y Canfranc donde subiremos 368 m en poco menos de 25 km, con rampas que, en alguna ocasión, se acercan a las 20 milésimas, en el que coincidiremos con el Expreso de Canfranc, tren histórico regular que ha iniciado su andadura en 2025. Durante el trayecto podremos disfrutar de la naturaleza incomparable del Pirineo y ya en Canfranc, contemplar el impresionante edificio de la estación internacional, recientemente rehabilitado.
Además la fecha coincide con el bicentenario del nacimiento del ferrocarril, disfrutando de un paisaje inmejorable a bordo de coches con mas de 50 años de historia fabricados en distintos países, entre ellos Reino Unido.
El Tren Azul estará formado por el coche salón ZZ-1601, el coche restaurante WR-2747, con interiores de marquetería originales de 1926, el coche restaurante WR-3567, que además de las plazas sentadas tendrá servicio de bar durante todo el trayecto, el coche de departamentos CC-5137 y el BB4-6033, el coche camas YFt-4648 en posición día y el coche estafeta P3-3067 con el museo postal.
On September 27th, we’ll return to Canfranc on a journey steeped in railway culture, where an ALSA Series 333 diesel locomotive will be put to the test, especially on the section between Jaca and Canfranc, where we’ll climb 368 m in just under 25 km, with gradients that occasionally approach 20 thousandths of a second. We’ll also meet the Canfranc Express, a historic regular train that began operating in 2025. During the journey, we’ll enjoy the incomparable nature of the Pyrenees and, once in Canfranc, admire the impressive, recently renovated international station building. The date also coincides with the bicentenary of the birth of the railway, allowing you to enjoy unbeatable scenery aboard carriages with over 50 years of history built in various countries, including the United Kingdom.
The Blue Train will consist of the ZZ-1601 lounge car, the WR-2747 dining car, with original marquetry interiors from 1926, the WR-3567 dining car, which in addition to seating will have bar service throughout the journey, the CC-5137 and BB4-6033 compartment cars, the YFt-4648 sleeping car in day position, and the P3-3067 mail car with the postal museum.
