Meet ‘George’, explore his life, inventions, and Chesterfield connections.
A George Stephenson re-enactor will be taking centre stage to celebrate the famous engineer and his connections with Chesterfield.
‘George’ will not only be available to answer questions and pose for photos but will also give a talk at 11.30am and 3pm. Entitled The Railway that Changed the World, the talk explores the global impact of George Stephenson’s pioneering railway.
The event is free to enter with donations being given to local charities.
