Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (Sectie Kleine Spoorwegen) Halfjaarlijks Technisch Seminar

erfgoed

The theme of this year’s Technical Seminar is to show the history of railway Signalling and Telecommunications. Presentations will be given by representatives involved heritage, minor (and not so minor) railways from the UK and Europe. Presentations will show signalling has developed on main line and heritage railways, what is the current situation, and what plans are there for the future.

This is an all-day event which will include presentations from long established heritage railways, both standard and narrow gauge, as well as the UK’s oldest and largest heritage signalling operator – Network Rail!

The event will be free to attend but registration is required.

Thanks to our colleagues at the Kidderminster Railway Museum for hosting event. The Museum also holds its own a vast collection of equipment representing the history of signalling.
