Come down to Volk’s Electric Railway this September and celebrate both Railway 200 and Volk’s Electric Railway’s Association’s 30th anniversary.
Ever wondered what’s inside that cream building in the cliff, what was it used for? Is it still used today? Now’s your chance to find out! Sunday 21st September, VERA will be hosting, limited, behind the scenes tours of Magnus Volk’s workshop and office. VERA will take you on a tour of the workshop, telling you the history of the building and what it is used for today. You will then be given the chance to explore upstairs and see Magnus’s office, where he would watch his ground-breaking inventions go by.
